Implications of Netizen Conversations on the Discourse on the Presidential Candidacy of the Republic of Indonesia 2019-2024 in the Electronic Media of the Global Computing Era: Sociopragmatic Studies

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form, background, and nature of the implications in the discourse of the 2019-2024 presidential candidacy in the electronic media Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Conventional implicature is the highest center of attention, which gives rise to a variety of intentions, such as satire, command, remind, criticize, ask, and invite. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of speech in the form of words, phrases and sentences that contain implicatures. The data sources in this study are the electronic media Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Data collection used in this study is a note-taking method. The data analysis carried out in this study were in the form of extralingual matching methods and PUP basic technique matching methods and HBS advanced techniques. The results of this study indicate that the forms implicated in the discourse of the 2019-2024 presidential candidacy in the electronic media Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook show a conventional tendency. The rating forms are (a) conventional implicature 55%, (b) conversational implicature 30%, and (c) implicature scale 15%. Based on the issues behind the creation of implications, they are (a) 60% economy, (b) 15% technology, (c) 10% development, (d) 5% natural resources, (e) law and 10% security. The implicature properties can be divided into (a) 46% cancelability, (b) 15% separation power, and (c) 39% calculability. Social context markers are (a) foreign cooperation 10%, (b) corruption 10%, (c) development 10%, (d) food prices 30%, (e) employment 15%, (f) crime 5%, (g) injustice 5%, (h) work program 15%. So, issues related to the economy, the nature of the implied power of invalidation, and markers of the employment context are the motives implicature of netizens that are most dominant in the presidential candidacy of the era of global communication and computing.
